Results Oda: Devastation on central Japan. Died by stabbing in the back, because Nobunaga was a dick. Hideyoshi: The great economic and social fail of Japan because epic fail in Korea. Toetomi became paranoic and ill, died just in days before the Korean war was other. Tokugawa: New peacfull era of Japan, prosperous of people and economic rising. Ieasu died peacfully in his bed.

@@Cekachev I like the theory that Hideyoshi deliberately sent those samurais to their deaths in Korea because there were too many people and too few lands to give away. It's a win-win situation, really. If the invasion does turn out to be successful, then great, he now has land for everybody. If the invasion fails, then the samurai-land ratio will be more balanced, and everybody (who survived / didn't go to Korea) is happy. But I don't think he was really thinking of taking on CHINA. Korea is a more realistic goal compared to that power house; unless, of course, he actually went insane.

The Toyotomi began the persecution of Christianity, Hideyoshi is infamously remembered for butchering Christians in particular the one incident that he will be remembered for is the killing of 26 people which became known as the 26 martyrs of Japan. Nobunaga was the real progressive ruler after him the two who followed were very conservative, Hideyoshi made it impossible for peasants to become rich and powerful like he was given the chance to by Nobunaga and Ieyasu cut off the country from the rest of the world which kept their civilization primitive in comparison to the rapid development of the western world.

The main reason i feel for tokugawa to ban them is literally because they where a threat to his rule. In the terms of they caused a division within the people. He wanted all of japan to be fully united in many ways and by having another religion within the lands as well as non japanese people that dont follow their peoples way. It was a factor that was to unknown to try to control. So for a man who wanted to have full control of everything it was a step he most likely felt was needed. Due to history showing us that difference with religion belief tends to cause alot of friction and conflict. Giving it time one of the religous groups christian or otherwise would have started something just due to how one's views was.

i don´t thought in one country such as Japan being victim of wars for antagonical religious views, as Europe, the "very christian" Europe. I think that Tokugawa made it very well. To be logic, you would hate all Christianity, because and ironically, between the same believers persecuted ones to others mutually a lot of times, and in forms so terrible.

Adam Jensen well i am fan of tokugawa because of the reason you stated above instead lol...do you think hideyori will able to control all japan? I doubt it also i don't trust mitsunari either. But someone has to put sengoku jidai to the end. and the kirishitans are pain in the ass and they are not different with hongan ji temple monk. sooner or later they will brought distability back to japan. Hideyoshi already persecuted christian long before tokugawa did it.
