What is the use of IDE if piezoresistor is placed on its top as the output of piezo is used instead of IDE? Refering time near at 27 minute

Possibly IDE is not good enough for measuring the change in resistance in the tissue w.r.t change in pressure applied on it. This is where the Piezoresistor steps in.
