First time I saw this item from NOCO was in another overlanding video but the truck owner didn’t do an install video. Thank you for this. 🤙🏾

Pretty straight forward install for this. However I had to watch a bunch of videos till I found yours. The best one for sure!

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. Something to consider if you go the exact same route I did the next day after taking a deeper look at it. The pass through to the engine bay has sharp edges so I placed edge trim where the plug goes through it and I put electrical tape around the entire connection. You will see the pass through once you remove the liner and look up, it's kind of like a large square-ish hole. Thanks for watching.

How has this worked out since you installed it? Is there any problem in the rain or snow? This looks like a great solution for a vehicle that doesn’t get driven much. Nice video!
@ClassyTacos9 күн бұрын
Thanks, appreciate it. It's been great. No issues in the rain with countless storms. I'm in FL so no review for snow. Thanks for watching.

Nice man! Had the 10A STOP fuse issue too. Luckily for me, it was just a burned-out taillight bulb, and swapping the fuse with some new bulbs fixed it. GL!!

Sick! Ive been wanting to get one of these on-board chargers and either add the outlet to a customized waterproof outlet cover in the bed (like re-worked Oem Toyota bed outlet over). Or, put a retractable extension cord reel in the bed behind the wheel well with the cord popping out in the bedside. So you would just pull out the cord to plug into the house/shore power and it can retract back in when done.

This is on point man. I love it. Especially like that you do function over form and it still looks 🔥. Most people are "wanna be" and would be like hell no, but you are definitely not like that. Have you thought about the optima battery replacement that has the top and side posts. I switched to that and it gives more spots for connections and options for wiring .
@ClassyTacos9 ай бұрын
I appreciate that, thank you. I will look into the Optima Bat upgrade, those extra posts would be so nice. Again, I appreciate it and thanks for watching.

Also for your blowing fuse I would suggest try a different set of taillights. My buddies tacoma had same problem and his driver side aftermarket taillight had a short in it internally causing blowed fuses

I’d love to know if this would work if you’re also running a leisure battery.

Interesting. You may 2. Also consider noco has a larger capacity charger that I believe has more than one out put. Thanks for wathcing.

I can say it worked in the high 30s and in heavy rains. I'm FL so no extreme cold here. Thanks for watching.

this charger charge only lead acid batteries? Or can it do AGM and Lithium?
@ClassyTacos9 ай бұрын
Here is direct copy past form the NOCO website. No lithium mentioned. "Designed for 12-volt lead-acid batteries, including most flooded, gel, AGM, and maintenance-free, as well as automotive, marine, RV, and deep-cycle batteries."

Is a 2 amp charger sufficient?
@ClassyTacos9 ай бұрын
It's a slow charger for sure. For maintaining and the occasional top off yes. For a completely dead battery think more overnight charging. Thanks for watching.
