After watching every comparison you made between two game, ZZZ lacks choreography by a lot (Miyabi for example, she has good vfx but animation is meh, even if the concept that she was moving really fast, alpha does that too, but kuro executed the animation perfectly, tbh the only thing looks good were just the vfx and camera shakes) PGR have both of them balanced. The only thing keeping ZZZ looks engaging is the camera movement, it gives an illusion of intense fight, while honestly the game just beating up dummies. Something like Ishmael, or Nigel boss fight is what i called real boss fight, the boss actually acts like a boss and the fight feels like a dance. Trading blows, parries and dodges, it's so satisfying. *NOTE: im not saying ZZZ is awful, but for a game company like Hoyoverse, they SHOULD done way better. Especially when they claim it's combat focused.* But if you enjoy the game, then okay

TLDR first - play literally any other game (like PGR) which is highly likely to be superior in almost every quality possible. Animations, gacha, story, QOL (and rate of improvements)...Hoyo knows they don't need to improve (further talked on later) Except maybe music which is somewhat subjective (but even then, most game music is "good" and simply mostly depends on the vibes and setting to elevate it), and worldbuilding(?) because having 4 giant long-term games working together over a decade will give you time to set up some cool stuff (but this has no use if the plot is bad and as such even affects the characters' behaviour in the story) So yeah, want a good story? Not to be found in Hoyo games. They'll find a way to rush and ruin the arc (ex: Penacony) or it's simply predictable brainrot (ex: everything else in HSR) anyway. Play something else, watch a movie, watch a show, read a book... The only thing that ZZZ truly has above everything else is it's "unique characters". What I mean is if you're *really* into Jane Doe, then there's only ZZZ which can offer her ofc (and if you liked their previous games, there'll be expys eventually as always). Besides that everyone else playing it ig. It's insanely popular like all the other Hoyo games because they got big once and it's "the gacha games everyone knows". Furthermore people just can't stop getting themselves deeper into the loop of "well, this game is maybe gonna improve...one day (fast forward 2 years)...maybe the Hoyo game releasing next month will be better - surely! Farewell ZZZ!" - which leads to sunk-cost fallacy in whichever game they're currently on (or they're the worst kind which have such poor taste and are so deep in the hole they play multiple of them because they can't bother looking past the big 3).

I think I have the same view as you for miyabi, animation combat are ok, but unga Bunga without much of motion. Literally Vergil coded which I don't really like. Alpha CW or ca Vergil coded as well but they have motion. It's like on middle.

His hold attack can guard, not just his dodge alone. And if you play it right you can hold consecutive attack (like oraora move from jojo) move from a boss. When you perfectly guard an incoming attack, the ult gauge instantly fills up to max and ult instantly. So far that is what missing from the gameplay of Noctis Last edit: would be nice to showcase every bits of the character from any games, to see how much devs can offer in making a game character.

probably because of one of these things: 1. Too much flashbang covering your screen, which definitely happens with many PGR characters. 2. No real impact reaction from boss (While zzz is basically a punching bag, it might be better in terms of reaction compared to PGR's boss basically eating hits like breakfast after a while). 3. Both 4. It has to do with something more basic and I don't know what I'm talking about. (I don't)

(and I mentioned the Gen 1) I just brought this to attention because the comment section of this channel is starting to become an echo chamber, with people believing ZZZ has bad animation simply because it's less flashy. While the truth is...quite the opposite. The animators who worked on ZZZ are without doubt extremely passionate about their craft. Passion that apparently, garnered respect of those who works in the same line of business.

I'm surprised people are even saying ZZZ has bad Animation in comparison tbh, because in my opinion that's the one thing about Zenless' Combat, their animation looks good, PGR tho makes up for it with the "Feel" of it, how the Camera moves/shakes and how the combat flows how The character's movement in combos are "Rigid" making every moves more impactful, same reason why Vergil's judgement cut isn't "Smooth" they can make it smooth but if you see an animation of vergil unsheathing Yamato during it judgment cut won't feel as good as i'd argue is proven with DmC Devil May Cry's Judgement cut feeling clunky. I'm in the believe that if they made the animations smoother it would actually be a detriment to the game's style. The same way some film uses low framerate on purpose as an artistic choice (Example is Spider-verse).

There are some things that should be accounted for in these showcase comparison videos imo. The core passive in PGR should be included...always imo, unless if it's void of any separate gameplay aspects then it's not worth it ofc. Also, for ZZZ, showcasing the defensive/evasive assists and their respective follow-up attacks is extremely important. They as well as chain attacks are literal core fundamental part of a units kit which is ironic cause lighter's role and gimmick completely encompass these 2 aspects...but they're nowhere to be seen here. There is also the dash attacks...sure they're not insanely important to the gameplay loop for most units...but to some they are rly important to the gameplay of their respective units like billy for example who literally functions directly with that dash atk as much as his dodge counters and without it he feels incomplete. Nicole and anby also use them regularly for their respective roles. I don't think they should be left out especially since all of em are unique animations. There are ofc some character specific mechanics like Billy's ability to dodge with his core passive abilty after acquiring M2...miyabi and yanagi's built in parries...the fact that lighter can infinitely loop his atk chain or that he can side step during his core passive punches, ellen's shark sprint mode (forgot the name sry) and so much more that should also be included if ur gonna make a fair comparison that shows off each unit in their own game properly. Great video still and i know i didn't say much about PGR cause there wasn't much else to say other than the core passive part. But the ZZZ characters have been missing a lot of their kit in these videos and so i feel like it's important to note these. And i understand it's a fair bit more work to include all those but that doesn't mean they don't exist or shouldn't be at least mentioned imo.

same zzz characters feel dull to play, the animation is pretty but it doesn't take much skill to master a characters moves simply there game play is soo simple that you can just spam it and the outcome will be the same. the boss fight you need to not spam I tried that it didn't turn out will but other than that the gameplay is honestly the most simple and the most boring. they want it to be flashy but there's no substance to it, parrying is automiac once you switch a character it just parries it for you. whenever I fight a boss it feels like the game is playing itself for me. there's barely any type of user input to the game so playing it feels so simple that you can hoently just turn off your brain. the game takes not much skill that's why I dropped the Game. they shouldn't have advirszed their game as a fast paced combat game because its just not. feels like a dummy simulator.

Casual players who not into skill based might find it fun tho so it's still a good alternative for casuals who want to try a combat game with easy to learn mechanic and it has decent graphic too on top of that. Just.. Don't try soloing the fight, since the combat is pretty simple and the characters has only a few movements makes soloing it feels pretty dull.

as far as I know, some characters have their own specific mechanics. Do note that core passives basically mean certain combos that you can do with a specific character that no other can. In this case, I think Lighter's 3 skills and his charged attack thing is his core passive, it's just not called such. PGR characters just have THAT much more moves compared to other games, even wuwa. The average PGR character easily has at least 3 more moves than any character from any other game.
