Pokemons are not just strong for their certain "charged moves". They are strong due to their types, stat products and movesets. In my opinion, all nerfed pokemons still have a place in the meta. Some are even stronger as most new meta teams are 2 times or even 3 times weak to them.

Exactly. In its prime, Noctowl never relied on a gimmick. Rather, it was able to hit most things hard enough, tank even super effective moves, and had decent but not great charged move pacing. Those things never went away. I’ve used Lugia and Rayquaza in ML even after they get nerfed, and they perform a bit worse, but they’re still very playable, and my skills as a battler are still more my limitation than a little rebalancing ever will be.

The meta really shifted from Noctowl, stuff like Skarm, Gligar, Mantine, and Mandibuzz are better fliers. However, when this Noctowl was meta I think it was one of the worst periods of Great League imo. Medicham, Lantern, and Noctowl were EVERYWHERE. Glad it got nerfed, but yeah it's just been dead since the nerf. Glad to see it showcased because it for sure has some potential. Same with the Gfisk, though the Earthquake nerf and Gligar hurt it quite a bit.

It’s hilarious that Niantic claims there isn’t an algorithm but look at your back line and look at all the Annihilape leads I ran a team of Shadow Gligar, Shadow Feraligatr, and Carbink one of the first battles I had someone had a shadow Venusaur lead which I haven’t seen in forever

Seems so long ago that GFisk was top meta. This is why I laugh when people complain about the meta. There's ALWAYS gonna be a meta. People hated Gfisk so it got nerfed and others got stronger. So now they complain about the new mons lol. It's just the game people.
