Damn, only at 75% can you start to hear the motor rumble, that's why i love this brand. $40 though, its steep. I can maybe explain the power consumption, they introduced a torque feature that will increase torque when its met with resistance to maintain RPM. So the measurements may have been without obstruction. Still good to know since PWM header is only 1 amp. So no more than 3 per PWM header. As for the SS02 bearing, I have a NH-U9S from 2013 that is still going without any bearing rattle/grinding. Dead silent. Impressive stuff.

True, with that price you can get a decent case. On the longevity side, i have the OG fan from the very first CM Hyper 212 cooler. I think it has a riffle bearing? Still going strong from 2014 and is carrying the intake fans as the only exhaust one. Speaking of which, Aris if you are reading this, you can test it for the luls if u get your hands on a cheapo from ebay or smthing.

Took them a long time to get to market but very impressive. I'd get a couple if I wasn't already happy with my setup. By the way have you checked out some of the more premium Thermalright fans? I have several in mine 2x on CPU tower and a couple intakes B12 and B14 and they're pretty good. And especially for the price. Think I paid less than £10 for each one. Amazing value but they aren't so well known for their fans.

great video as always, i already read the article as well i think the cross table on performance metric shouldn't use high contrast color such as yellow and magenta, i think separating the table using slightly darker (5-10%) color would look nicer, also when the magenta table got red coloured data its really difficult to read

Aris the GOAT, wonder if they sent this one out or weren't too happy lol

So I went out and bought 3 new NF-A14x25 G2 PWM fans to mount on my newly purchased Arctic Liquid Freezer III radiator, and upon mounting first fan I immediately discovered an issue. Fan comes with gasket for radiators pre-installed (similar to option included in NF-A12x25 box). The now pre-installed gasket out of the box comes with these silicone rings on it. So called load bearing rings - now the problem with that is that those silicone rings on gasket prevent gasked itself to sit flush with radiator metal and I'm left with 1mm gaps on the sides of the fan. The question would be - what is the point of including the gasket with fan if it doesn't seal the gaps properly because of them silicone rings not squishing enough for gasket to sit flush with the metal. NF-A12x25 didn't had this problem because it's gasket didn't had those silicone rings around screw holes on it's gasket. If the gaps between radiator and fan frame is fine then all is good but still makes me wonder isn't the gasket purpose is to seal off the gaps?

Dear Customer, Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding the correct installation of NF-A14x25 G2 fans on a radiator. The protruding pads you mentioned are called load relief pads, designed to ensure even pressure, helping prevent long-term deformation of the fan frame. This feature is essential given the ultra-tight blade clearance of just 0.7mm between the rotor and frame. One primary reason for these pads is that radiator housing and fan installation points are often not perfectly perpendicular (90°), causing torsional stress on the fan frame. These pads are engineered to compress under normal screw pressure, providing an ideal fit while reducing strain, so you should see hardly any gap after tightening. For installation, please tighten the fan screws only until a small gap, or none, remains, taking care not to over-tighten. The total compressive load across all four screws should stay under 30kg (approximately 0.15-0.25 Nm of torque for typical M3 or UNC 6-32 screws). With M4 or fine-thread screws, lower torque may still apply more compressive force, so please exercise extra caution. When installing on a new radiator, it’s recommended to thread the screws first without the fan. This can help remove any paint residue in the threads, reducing the torque needed for a secure and proper fit. Thank you again, and please feel free to reach out with further questions.

Love Noctua and have many of their fans and coolers but they lost it with the pricing, after trying Thermalright for coolers and the Arctic P14 for fans and comparing them to the Noctua ones I can't justify the pricing for the new cooler or fan, same goes for Be quiet fans and coolers, didn't try the coolers but compared to the p12 and p14 they're not worth the price premium either, the only thing I didn't test yet is longevity of the p14s as I started using them just last year. Just finished a build in my dream case, Thermaltake cte 750, huge case with the mobo tray inverted 90 degree and option for up to 14 fans on all 4 sides but I'm using only 7 fans, 3 Thermaltake 14cm in the front that came with the case, 2 p14 in the back for the GPU, 1 Nuctua 3000rpm industrial fan on the bottom for the CPU and 1 p14 at the top for exhaust, most of the fans are set to 800rpm with some custom curves for CPU and GPU.

The offset 2-pack in my region is $118 after taxes. I don't care how good they are, that's ridiculous. Noctua are having a laugh with their pricing. No doubt great fans, but it isn't the early 2000s anymore and there are now just way too many options at a significantly cheaper price. I think people who spend that type of money of fans need to have their heads examined.
