This actually isn’t the best ending, If you make different decisions that are smart you’ll get the kind and competent ending. In that ending Diego will be more than happy to stay with you with 0 Hesitation. It’s called “happy ever after”

The ending that you're talking about isn't possible without getting someone killed, this is called the best ending because no one dies, This ending is only obtainable by you not holding up a gun when you first meet Mia and her friend, which will lead to you making more naïve decisions throughout the story.

36:14 I think i know why the creator did that... Remember when Ted first met Maggie and Mia ? Mia said that a Nocturnal was around THEIR "home", so most likely far away from the school, since they traveled from the underground to the school. So the nocturnal was probably after the girls and not the boys, but since Maggie heard the music and probably made loud noises while running over there, that's how the monster got in and almost killed them. But yeah, they're little dance session was pretty wholesome :) I can't wait for Nocturals 2 to come out
