In node V2, the current is entering negative terminal as considered. So Power = - vi v= - 2V and i=35A So power= -(-2)(35)= 70 W
@muhammadhammadsarwar698 Жыл бұрын
no because power is delivered so you cannot put positive sign with it as it shows power sink.... which is not true in this case as power is being delivered. Current is leaving node v2 and entering in the 2V Voltage source.

@redemedy860210 ай бұрын
see because in current sources the internal resistance is considered infinite and not 0 (parallel connection). First things first I think you misunderstood that this is a current source and not a voltage source. The current that it provides is 3 times the Voltage across the resistor that says above it in the schema provided. say if the voltage across that resistor happens to be 10V the VCCS source will provide to branch 3*10 = 30A. Hope it was helpful but it has been 2 years...

sir in the previous question you said when the voltage source is between the reference node and the non reference node then we dont need to find the kcl equation for that and then you just wrote the value for v1 =0 therefore in this question also we can clearly see that the 5 v voltage source is between the reference node and the non reference node (that is the ground one) therefore why didnt we said the value of v1=5 v. Does that means that this rule is only applicable when the reference node and the non reference node contains voltage source in between but no any resistor????? pls reply at the earliest sir!

I think you are right, power in this example is -70 W. But he is talking about Power delivered, and we know that power delivered is a negative quantity AND power absorbed is a positive quantity. Meaning that saying that P=-70W is similar to say that the power delivered is 70W.

From the solution of equation 4, Please can someone tell me how does 5/2(V1)-2/2-V3=5 becomes 5/2(V1)-V3=4?
@redemedy860210 ай бұрын
So from combining eq 2 and eq 1 you get the eq 4 which initially is 5/2(V1) - (V3) = 4 you 2x both sides and you get 5V1 - 2V3 = 8 (eq4). What you have written here is equation 1 and you wrote it wrong too. Go slow and methodic so you don't make these mistakes

You don't need to use KCL at Node2 at first go around. You are trying to find the voltage potential at all nodes. At Node2 specifically, you can get the voltage directly because the 2v independent voltage source lies between Node2 and ground (without a resistor in the branch providing a voltage drop.)
