Nice! I've managed to get JWT working on one of my projects by "following other videos" but I don't feel entirely comfortable with it. I'll be looking forward to this one. Shaun has a way of explaining things so you understand what you're doing and not just getting it to work.

i regret that i purchased a lot of courses in UDEMY where in this "MAN" teaches everything, short videos but the information is like a ocean, straight to the point, no acting, no scripts and clearer than the sky! Well, that's a big lesson to me. I unfollow all youtube channel except for this great channel! If you are watching this tutorial in 2024, if you run the starter files you might see some warning just update all the package it will remove all the warnnings/issues and follow along the error and remove some of the options that are depricated then you are good to go.

(node:16272) [DEP0170] DeprecationWarning: To resolve this error I created my own db on MongoDB and then deleted all dependencies from the package.json file and reinstalled the updated version of those files manually using npm. then deleted { useNewUrlParser: true, useUnifiedTopology: true, useCreateIndex: true } from the code. Hope it helps

thank you. Here it didn't work. I updated all dependencies, it would always show me this error " URI cannot have port number ". I had to connect to Compass MongoDB.
