The best way to balance this would probably be "Headshots only" for the Survivors, so even if the Zombie gets hit by random bullets he doesn't die unless it was a heashot. This gives a good level of balance since Survivors have basically infinite ammo but they end up using way more

I think the ammunition situation should be limited, and have a goal or end-state that the party is looking to achieve. But Wren did a great job making it fun for everyone by putting a lot of enthusiasm into a tough role.

That is one intelligent zombie. Tries to run away when in obvious danger (never seen a zombie retreat before), plays with Bandit, and knows how to relax on a chair. This is one refined zombie. If it weren't for lack of blood flow, he'd be getting one heck of a cardio workout. If only he could Wrender another Wren... Or use his onewheel... Zombie on wheels as a game variant?

actually in real nerf wars, most people wear ghillie suits and tactical vests because nerf is ultra realistic. it's very rare to ever shoot in nerf because most people are hiding.

Establish rules for competitive play 1. Patient Zero must reveal himself and attack within 60 seconds of match start 2. In order to incapacitate a zombie, they must be shot twice (encourages buddy system and makes it a little harder because it seems pretty easy to keep a zombie in check) 3. Shooting a zombie on the ground does NOT reset the 15 second timer 4. Guns count as an extension of the body, zombies hitting guns still counts as spreading infection. Something like that!

Each person you infect reduces your spawn time by 4 seconds. After 3 infects you just have to sit down and stand back up when shot. Each zombie keeps track of their own spawn time. Also you can only used the ammo you start with and the ammo that's available on the map. You cannot use ammo you've already shot. (use different color darts to differentiate)

To make it a little more even in the beginning, maybe survivors only have one or two guns to share, each person has two shots on them. You have a to retrieve guns from tagged people etc etc. It would certainly make it a little more balanced in the beginning. But this was awesome, keep making more of these!

The way my friends and I did it is that a zombie can respawn by touching an exterior door. There was no timer, so it made for a very hectic game. We also did the ruleset of chest or head for a kill. Momentum touches were technically not allowed. Since you guys go into outside spaces you would have to treat the gate or entrance to those locations as exterior doors. This simulated zombies coming from the outside.

do a zombie scavenger hunt inside with details and pictures of clues all leading up to a fake syringe that can cure the infection. One gun allowed. Survivors helping solve the clues can get picked off one by one and turn into a zombie and the same goes for your gun man.

So, to make it fair, they needed to forbid the use of already used ammo, so every ammo on the floor would be forbidden and only new ammo found on the map could be accessed. You can see how unfair it was by just looking at how the survivors are ganking him and chilling overall. Another good idea would be to make him more resilient every time he revives, like, every 2 or 3 revives he can take an extra bullet before going down.

Sam ruins way too many of these videos for me, since he's always more concerned with winning than with just having fun. For instance 1) hiding in a bush half the game and not even participating because that is the "winning" strategy, and 2) shooting a zombie who is still on the ground. They're already dead, so what is that even supposed to do? Keep them dead? Because that doesn't really make sense and just sounds anti-fun (and then he's even salty that it doesn't work that way lol!).

This gamode could be fixed by making a rule that after every zombie kill you must move to a different room without Line of Sight with the body. You could explain this as being in constant need of new supplies and thus always needing to be on the move, or that the shots needed to take down the zombie attract more zombies to the body, so you must run from it. This would make the game far more exciting as they couldn't keep on shooting the zombie as soon as it reappears, and the zombie could then flank to new areas without the humans knowing!
