Dear Marc, is there any way to know how many tweets were collected, in the end, by the Twitter importer?

Panopticovers yes: See the overall metrics worksheet.

Thanks, Marc! Is it the self-loops row? (Tweets are not mentioned in the report)

See: www.smrfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/2017-09-22_13-39-32-NodeXL-Overall-Graph-Metrics-Options.png In Overall Metrics, you must set the option that identifies the column that defines "Relationship" - This will allow NodeXL to "know" about Tweets, Replies and Mentions.

Thank you, Marc! That helped a lot. I didn't notice that option before.

Panopticovers the option is turned on when you use the “recipes” described in this video.

Hello Marc, I'm currently working on my Master's thesis and bought NodeXl Pro yesterday, because it will be an integral part of my analysis. However, everytime I try to run graph metrics, I get this error message: [Win32Exception]: Zugriff verweigert (access denied) bei System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithCreateProcess(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) bei System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() bei Smrf.NodeXL.Algorithms.GraphMetricCalculatorBase.TryCallSnapGraphMetricCalculator(SnapGraphMetrics eSnapGraphMetrics, String sArguments, String& sStandardError) bei Smrf.NodeXL.Algorithms.GraphMetricCalculatorBase.CalculateSnapGraphMetrics(IGraph oGraph, SnapGraphMetrics eSnapGraphMetrics, List`1 oGroups) bei Smrf.NodeXL.Algorithms.OverallMetricCalculator.CalculateSnapOverallMetrics(IGraph oGraph, Nullable1& iMaximumGeodesicDistance, Nullable1& dAverageGeodesicDistance, Nullable`1& dModularity) bei Smrf.NodeXL.Algorithms.OverallMetricCalculator.TryCalculateGraphMetrics(IGraph graph, BackgroundWorker backgroundWorker, OverallMetrics& graphMetrics) bei Smrf.NodeXL.ExcelTemplate.OverallMetricCalculator2.TryCalculateGraphMetrics(IGraph graph, CalculateGraphMetricsContext calculateGraphMetricsContext, GraphMetricColumn[]& graphMetricColumns) bei Smrf.NodeXL.ExcelTemplate.GraphMetricCalculationManager.CalculateGraphMetricsAsyncInternal(CalculateGraphMetricsAsyncArgs oCalculateGraphMetricsAsyncArgs, BackgroundWorker oBackgroundWorker, DoWorkEventArgs oDoWorkEventArgs) bei Smrf.NodeXL.ExcelTemplate.GraphMetricCalculationManager.BackgroundWorker_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) bei System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e) bei System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument) I am at a loss on how to fix this. I am not a programmer and have no clue where to start. My PC runs on Win 64, so the Win32Exception is a bit startling. I have a Win10 system with Office2007. I also imported the Twitter data recipes. I really need this to work and maybe you can help me. This is propably not the correct way to get in touch with you, I'm sorry! Thank you and best wishes, Alexandra

Is there any link available for Node XL ?

Dear Marc, I have two questions 1. Is NodeXL able to collect geo-located tweets in the 100% of cases based on a due query hashtage related (example: #environmentfriendly)? 2. Is NodeXL able to provide trends for a due country within an established time (example: one week)?
@MarcSmithSociologist7 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thank you for the interest in NodeXL. NodeXL collects data from the public API of multiple social media platforms. Twitter returns ~ 3% of tweets with lat/long data. In other cases, the user has provided a useable location. 100% coverage of location data from Twitter's API is almost impossible. NodeXL does provide trend data on the frequency of network connections ("edges") per unit time. You *may* be able to limit the tweets to a specific location or language but only with some effort. The Language column *is* reported in NodeXL's vertices worksheet, so you *could* filter based on that attribute.
