OMG I wish I was there with you guys. I live in Harlem and I could of showed you guys a fabulous vegan restaurant called "The Seasoned Vegan." It's a soul food restaurant and is one of the best vegan restaurants in NYC. Plus it's near by the festival.

I am so sorry to have outed him but if I'm being honest, I am 'vegan curious' and was hoping that he could maybe bring this out in the open and erase some of the stigma. I've been "using' fruits and veggies and totally ignoring meat, dairy and eggs for the last two months.Some of my friends and family have become concerned and did schedule an intervention. It was yesterday at the local fruit and veggie stand. Needless to say, it didn't work and I was able to convert several of my cousins, so our next reunion will be at the local Loving Hut Asian/Vegan restaurant. The weird thing is, I feel the need to tell absolute strangers that I'm VEGAN and automatically explain why their diet is inferior. I am hoping that I grow out of it, like one would an allergy but it appears to be getting worse. I hyperventilated yesterday thinking about cooking hamburgers on my pristine veggie grill! Knowing how us herbivores are, I wanted to be sure before I labeled anyone because I know how hard it is to get rid of that monkey once it's attached. I'm going to go eat some quinoa and think about what I've done..... Because I do what I want......
