Reminds me of when I first came across the Mighty Boosh, forget how old I was but it completely blew me away. It was the episode from the second series where the spirit of jazz is trapped inside a Hoover hunting down Howard as he’s in a 80’s synth band. Absolutely bonkers and I laughed so hard I cried. Only found the show years later. No one believed me it existed.
@I_Crit_My_Pants2 жыл бұрын
@@PussInBoot414 Mighty Boosh was absolutely god tier and gave Noel Fielding the footing to create this series. If Mighty Boosh had never happened, we probably wouldn't even know Noel existed, let alone for him to become as massive as he did. Not to disregard the other members of the cast of course, but again, they basically all came over from Mighty Boosh, we'd probably know none of them if it wasn't for Boosh lol.

i am in America, and i have had trouble getting people to get a grasp on how genius The Boooosh are, let alone trying to get them to see the beauty in this show... oh how i wish i could live *inside* Noel Fielding's mind for one day...

+n/a n/a My friends just don't get it... I love Noel's work so much.
@ginawhoever97349 жыл бұрын
+Fiona R absolutely. he is truly talented and he is actually *original*... he has his *own* style. i watched a couple of 'behind the scenes' videos about the Boosh, and there is one about this show too, and it is just amazing to watch him, because all of this is just coming right out of his mind like, on the spot. i never knew just how much of the Boosh was crafted by him until i watched these shows where he is on his own. *not* that i am putting down Julian Barratt by any means! he has a comedy genius of his own, and was equally brilliant. but a lot of the aesthetic of the Boosh is Noel's artwork. and yeah... i dont know anyone who 'gets it' with this show, or the Boosh either.
@fionar59559 жыл бұрын
+n/a n/a I agree.. I love watching as much of the behind the scenes footage of him I can find. He seems like such a genuine, kind, truly unique person. The Boosh is the only show I've watched where I have physically been smiling outrageously for a solid thirty minutes because it makes me so ridiculously happy. I'm planning a whole trip to NYC just to see him perform this March, and I've never been more excited to see someone live.
@ginawhoever97349 жыл бұрын
+Fiona R WOAH... i didn't know he was touring! i am so glad i responded to you as quickly as i did! i am in NJ and the only dates even close are the NY ones... not sure if i can swing a trip up there, i am going to have to makes some calls... that would be great! and i totally know what you mean, i have a 'Cheshire Cat' smile the whole time i watch unless i am just outright laughing. i have also noticed in interviews and such how genuine and actually *nice* he is, and how he likes to include his family/friends (even if just in a short cameo spot) in the shows. it is obvious that family is important to him. cheers!

Watching this in 2018 after getting into Boosh really late, I'm sad that series one got such a bad rap - it's not that out there for 2018 and the best moments - the birthday skit, me and my flamingo, the jelly fox - are even better than boosh for me. Series 2 seems a lot more laboured, like his heart wasn't totally in the format change and it seems like a lot of the plots - having to write a proper ending to save their one fan, a reality tv show taking over the island - are just him trying to process how people hated the first series. IMO the characters suffer from the new context and he doesn't seem willing to go to the dark places he normally goes to. I can understand how people have the opposite opinion since this is way more accessible and series 1 was uneven, but I'd love to see another show in the style of series 1.
