i don't know...i think that he's just going with whatever he feels like when he paints, like he just lets go of the nagging "i gotta draw something that's understood and accepted by like anyone who sees it" that follows a lot of artists around? i get the feeling that if he was purposely doing so he could make art that would be a lot more accepted by the regular dude, but he's just making art for himself...

If they weren't made in the context of all his other work, his paintings are barely passable postmodern art school scribblings (I know; I taught at and attended several of them.) As part of his entire oeuvre, they're quite fun.

Yeah that's 'Mushroom' by Can from the album Tago Mago. I've been painting to that for a while too. Well I guess its more of an over dub in this vid.

Tomato tomato.. (okay that phrase doesnt work quite as well written down) anyway I guess Im just annoyed that his paintings are considered brilliant mostly due only to his fame. he scribbles on a page and its worth thousands. its not like his ideas are novel. I do love his comedy, but as an artist im annoyed.

I don't care what anyone says. Art is a very broad spectrum ranging from abstract to fine arts. But this is just abseloutly rubbish. THIS ISN'T ART
@susanfarley13322 жыл бұрын
you are entitled to your opinion. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. personally I find his art very free and spontaneous looking. It takes some getting used to but now I actually enjoy his style very much. I have seen artwork by other artists that was rather ugly or looked like something one of my kid's did. I did not like their work. I like Noel's art. Wouldn't mind owning a piece of his art. I would have to save up though. But to me it would be worth it. I wish I could get a little of that free flow he has into my art.
