I know this as I met him and spoke for a minute or two outside a football stadium…a screeching girl made him do one inside. He was a bit on edge but very down to Earth and normal. All that arrogance is just banter. He’s the same without the bragging. Bit timid actually.

When he's on chat shows with an audience he plays up his arrogant image. Thirdly - he's even said in an interview that he pretends to be arrogant "just for fun" as you never know how long your career will last - so you might as well have fun with it.
