Love this track, scissors and all! I found Chasing Yesterday quite hit and miss, but everything from Who Built The Moon is sounding great so far. The difference between Noel and Liam is Noel’s moving forward and seemingly enjoying himself more than ever, whereas Liam is living in and longing for the past. It’s in his music, his attitude, and his bitterness towards Noel and the fact that Oasis are no more. He’s touring a no 1 album, but he’s troubled and angry. Noel definitely doesn’t need to chase yesterday anymore and Liam needs to stop trying.

Noel’s last album chasing yesterday was great. I knew all the words after a couple of listens. I went to see him at Bournemouth on my birthday. He was in great form, the football banter is fun and that’s from a staunch United fan! His first solo album was a bit special, it was so exciting listening to his writing after the oasis juggernaut had ground to a halt. This third one now, I think the time is right for a Noel classic. Something that transcends him into everyone’s attention again. His long time friends U2 had an album which really made everyone adore, refer and think back to their heyday of the unforgettable fire, Joshua tree and achtung baby, (bit of Rattle and and Hum too, I remember sitting at a campfire singing ‘all I want is you’ to the best looking girl i’d seen on a school trip to lake Windermere in 1991). When U2 released All That You Can’t Leave behind. It reminded you of how wonderful these Irish fellas are. It was just a classic piece of writing that brought them back to everyone’s attention. I think Noel’s got something to say with this new record. He says that in a few years time that it’ll just be another album, right now is a special time for him. The world needs a noel masterpiece, I think he’s done just that.
