Noel Gallagher - Stand By Me - Royal Festival Hall, London, 2/12/22

Apparently the first time Noel has performed this as a solo artist, and last time sung in 1997 with Oasis.
Part of a wonderful show curated by Paul Weller to celebrate the 90th year of Sir Peter Blake, with performances from musicians who have worked with or been influenced by his work.

I grew up with Oasis. I loved them in the 90s, went stale on them in the 00s. I wasn't so bothered when they split, there was a sense that it was probably time. But, now, as I slip towards middle-age and my youth disappears behind me, I would pay anything to see them at it again. Please do it, and take my money.

I love them and saw them in 97 at Earls Court with the verve, I want to see them again but not at a Knebworth size venue. Unfortunately even if they did reform one more time it will never feel like the 90s again, best Era for me and they are right Knebworth 96 was the last time before the digital age kicked in we would ever get that same feeling and again.
