This actually put into perspective for me that this is the ballad of a teen with a beautiful gift of storytelling who never got to tell it. This is his last time telling it, but to ghosts. Nobody alive hears this but Penny if she even remembers it. His fictional world laid to rest and remembered one final time. “Just to somehow prove I’m still alive” hurts so much now. you are tragic, noel gruber.

ride the cyclone animatics in OCTOBER 2024? THE GODS HAVE BLESSED ME. Monique being the one to talk to NOEL IS SO GOOD AAAAAAAAGH . Her tilting her head at the rollercoaster (1:12) while Noel is about to die is so cool, i took it as her being like "Oh! hes about to die i have to get ready to shine" because SHE WAS ONLY ALIVE IN HIS HEAD, BUT WHENEVER THEY'RE IN PURGATORY SHE BECOMES A REAL PERSON (in a way). At 1:37, im guessing the choir is still alive in this scene- Noel is walking out to the CHOIR stage. But then he pops out as Monique whicH IS IN PURGATORY where she can finally shine!! IM INLOVE MAN
