This is in my humble opinion unquestionably the best thing he’s ever done, stunning piece of work. It’s just perfect .. makes me cry every time.

i would say his most underrated song he’s ever done. The feeling of ‘it’s only the end of the world’ contrasted with ‘all that’s mine is right’ with the sound of the song = beauty!

No matter how many times i hear this song with the video, the french monologue ending with "its just the end of the world" then zooming in on clocks and finally revealing all those unclear zoomed in images that played before, over the line "its a beautiful dream" thats even spelled out for clarity, makes me burst into tears. Everytime. Suddenly you pay attention to the song in a whole new way and the line "all that is mine is right" afterwards just doubles in meaning. I loved this song when it came out because of the drum groove, if you just hear it lightly like i did then, its such a happy song, combined with the video its such an opposite shock that just suddenly explodes and reverberates in the soul. Whoever came up with the concept for the video and was in charge of editing has just contributed to the most powerful piece of art, and really elevated it. Art is supposed to capture a moment in time and communicate. Wow has this done both. I love how it doesnt try to sound political, epic or pretentious at all, it creeps in through the back door and bang. I hope others are able to pick it up as much as me. Well done Noel. Clearly the brains of Oasis.

It’s like a song It’s like a prayer It’s like a dream you had one night And put it over there You wear it like a face You never seen before You keep it with a key you thought you found Was lyin’ on the floor Wipe away the tear That only comes with peace Wipe it with a rose of love you saw Was falling on the leaves Do it like a dance Do it for a while But when it's gone you know it's gone You walk another mile It's a beautiful dream A beautiful night It’s a beautiful world When we dance in the light All that is real And all that is mine is right It’s a beautiful dream A beautiful night It’s a beautiful world And all that is mine is right I'm blinded by the light I try to catch my breath I sing a song of love and you can teach me What you know of death It's walking in your dreams It's written in the sky And when you feel the heat, you know You've found the reason why It's a beautiful dream A beautiful night It’s a beautiful world When we dance in the light All that is real And all that is mine is right It’s a beautiful dream A beautiful night A beautiful world And all that is mine is right

Fortunately he is one of only a few of today's musicians who tries to never stop reinventing themselves. More risky than staying in one's comfort area all the time! This really is one of the most beautiful & significant songs of the times we're living in and , easily, a top 5 of Mr. Gallagher's songbook. Will not go into the details here... just want to say thank you to Noel for writing an inspiring piece about loving one another... there's a way out of our troubles: "teach me what you know of death". Wow, peace be with you, brother.
@JB-fd6gr4 жыл бұрын
Btw, my interpretation of the line, "teach me what you know about death", is a poetic way of saying tell me about your problems...what can we learn from each other instead of assuming the worst of one another & living in fear & xenophobia. This can apply on a personal, every day Life experience & a global, political experience. There's a lot more poetically about this song that's significant (or significant to me, lol).... let's remember that when we lose our ability to see the individual, we ignite fears within ourselves & then we push those fears onto everyone else....

This is a truly phenomenal piece of psychedelic euphoria. Best song I’ve heard from Noel’s solo stuff so far. I know his recent solo output has divided fans old and new. I like Oasis for what it was and what it means in the history of iconic music, love Liam’s voice, but I couldn’t really get behind their loud noisy rock n roll style, not exactly my favourite kind of music. Then I listened to the likes of This is the Place, Black Star Rising, and this song, and as someone who utterly digs and lives for electronic, psychedelic, euphoric, like driving-down-a-motorway-at-night type music, opened up a whole new respect for Noel in exploring other areas of music. Okay, moving on. Personally this is a song that means a lot to me. I like to interpret, the chorus at least, as about someone having a dream and being confident in it, they might be in a low place, but they should just appreciate the fact that the world around them is so beautiful, and that “all that is mine is right” is sticking to what you know to keep you going, keep your spirits up, and as hinted by the French part, in chasing the dream you’ll stay positive, motivated and face the end of it all head on should that beautiful world fall apart. It’s such a moving, great sounding, motivational song to get out there, and appreciate the world, and work to not only achieve our dreams in our lifetimes but to keep the world around us beautiful, and healthy for generations of new minds to come.
