On the surface level, she is an annoying Tsundere who comes off as Arrogant with her comments. Deep down she is an insecure person who was isolated and neglected by her family since child-birth. Has a coping mechanism of saying cocky comments in order to boost self-esteem and shield herself from possible ridicule from other people because of her flaws(trust issues). Noelle's journey with the Black Bulls is for her to realize her self worth and to gain confidence in her abilities. To trust that people won't mock her for her flaws and will stand with her in tough times. That her expressing vulnerabilities is okay because the Black Bulls will have her back. They are her new family.

Yukio Tabata learned how not to write a female supporting character in a shonen manga after seeing Sakura in the Naruto series. Noelle is the complete opposite. Even though she may not be as powerful as Asta and Yuno, she is still very strong in her own right and is written and portrayed as such.

@@x.ocaleb302 for me raia isn´t as strong as vetto , against the whole black bulls he would´ve lost also, same with fana, and as captain, it´s normal bit saying that she's faster than noelle who was able to injure vanica (70%) and making blood comes out of her mouth with only valkyrie dress in the end of their fight , so noelle is defintely standing a while against her, she's far more mobile than full reincarnated fana (you are comparing noelle to human raia) , noelle also has more mana amount than her, tbh Charlotte doesn't have much..pre-ellipse. Kaiser human and not his elf, the human´s version is really weak
