I actually learned to enjoy being single. Although I feel 100% safe from narcissist emotional abuse because I’m single. I don’t have to dread going home after work. I’m alone but don’t feel lonely. "The ego thrives in the known". This is a precious concept. I have been learning a lot lately not only by observing myself, but also other people replicating their dysfunctional loops of bad habits and toxic relationships, just because it feels familiar. All of this is nothing else than escapism from one's wounded self. The underlying problem is that there is a gravitational force which pushes us to replicate these dysfunctionalities, and this is what only few can resist and what exactly needs to be challenged by each one of us. What gives me insight to carry on with this journey and be tight is seeing what happens to other people when they do not get rid of their attachments. What I liked about this video is that it connected many topics and did not only speak about retention. Fasting, getting rid of unhealthy attachments to food and to whatever hinders you on the spiritual journey, is so important and underrated. Making compromises (like, being on retention but eating unhealthy food or smoking) is absolutely not good, and this has been my problem all along: too many compromises. If you are on the spiritual path, you will get rid of anything which is an obstacle to your spirit and body without making any compromises, even because these would be made just to get short-term pleasure, so you would be back at the starting point. Compromise is just an excuse made by your ego so you can replicate your dysfunctionalities and not get rid of your attachments.

Right or wrong means two different paths should a good or bad decision be made. With much love comes responsibility but responsibility is love and discipline is too! Lack in caring for a need means lack of love for yourself and always a nagging feeling of remorse and remorse is telling you something needs to change. Change only comes when you decide to love yourself enough to seek help and to discipline yourself enough to resist until the next temptation be it two months or two minutes later. Do it enough and you will have beaten your meat beating habits because you will have invested time into separation of your own thoughts and then true love snowballs. You wont even want to relapse but when you do it’s short lived but motivates your disgust of unrighteous self hating lust! Love is the answer but what is love?
