I’m not sure if you’ll know who I’m talking about but your voice and style of asmr reminds me of Delilah the radio personality who had a nationally syndicated nighttime radio show. Your voice reminds me of her and my childhood. So comforting.

The calender and dates we use can be highly confusing. Because there was no year 0 it basically screws up the whole system. When we say the 19th century for example this also includes the year 1900 which no one will say is. Mathematically that is true but socially we all say the year 1900 is the 20th century even though it's technically not. If only we had a year 0 or a year to bridge the gap between BC and AD. When we are born we don't start as 1 year old. We build up to one year. So why wasn't this the case for Jesus Christ? Because then the 1st century would be 0-99, 2nd 100-199. 20th century would be 1900-1999. The same principle applies to millennia. The third millennium started technically in 2001 but we all celebrated the year 2000 as the new millennium. Honestly it's so dumb. If we had a year to bridge the gap between BC and AD it would be fine, it actually makes me upset. Btw I love your ASMR content, keep it up!
@liquidpig8 ай бұрын
Well shoot, I thought there retroactively was a “year 0.” Would make more sense, if you’re retroactively numbering the years in this “BCE/CE” kind of format, at least for that purpose. But then people might think “year 0” is in a weird limbo state that’s neither BCE nor CE.

@jeffbabies742810 ай бұрын
It’s even funnier that no one wondered what to call the period between BC and AD. If BC means “Before Christ” and AD means “After Death”, then what are the years between his birth and death? Not measured?
@meowzic11 ай бұрын
I think the calendar year would really be around 10,000, if you take into account the very first calendar discovered in Scotland dated 8000 bc. But I wonder what you would consider year one, when the first homo sapiens appeared 300,000 years ago?
@Nofrillsasmr11 ай бұрын
Did you see the short I just posted. There is a concept that the timeline should start at the beginning of agriculture which would be 10,000 years ago. Interesting. I haven't heard about the Scottish calendar - something new to look up! Thanks.

If your an asmr channel then its intentional.
@Nofrillsasmr10 ай бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I have actually thought about this way too much. I have been told that I'm not ASMR because I don't whisper, tap, ear-to-ear, roleplay, etc. I have also noticed a great deal of people come to my channel for the info and say "I've never watched ASMR, but I love this!" So, what do I do? Maybe I should leave ASMR off altogether? I don't think so. I, personally, only get ASMR from unintentional triggers and I do - maybe this is odd to say - get ASMR from my own videos, so, there's that.
@TimothySpadano10 ай бұрын

@@NofrillsasmrIt gives me and obviously many other people asmr. I would say keep asmr in your titles because it definitely is. Just in an intentionally unintentional type of style if that makes sense. In my opinion it’s so much better than someone purposefully tapping.

I titled today’s video “non intentional” - I don’t know. lol! I don’t really know why people get upset if the word “unintentional” is on it, but they do. I’ve had inappropriate comments come in - strangely upset people. Thanks for your support!! 💕
