With the Stiltwalkers, my players traded with them for eggs, so, to make it more fun, what they traded determined the eggs size, and I had them roll to see if the egg was fertilized, then had them roll to see what the egg belonged to. One player has the egg of an Eelhound (found a cool homebrew), and one has the egg of a Flying Snake. Only thing is, her pc is a Harengon with a horrible fear of snakes (hid throughout the entire encounter at the leaning tower). But the dice decided, so we’ll see what happens when the egg hatches. For now, she doesn’t know what it is. I also had them roll a d8 to see how mnay days before it hatches. They love the suspense. Well, the harengon player does XD, the other asked the inn keeper what it was. And when I rolled a nature check for her, she crit-Succeeded so she knew its identity. Just an idea for other DMs here if they want. It was actually a way to turn that encounter fun for our table

Something I did when the bandits were questioned was have each harrengon give different nonsense directions. “Turn right at the giant toadstool, go under the bridge, go north past the sleeping giant” etc I then added each of the directions in to the journey. They go through some mist and then find a giant toadstool. They go right into the mist and come out under a bridge etc.

Running it for two groups at the moment and by now I almost have memorized the vids, they are of amazing help! My homebrew (higher level high combat) group is going after Tasha because they need something from her that has no connection to the module. They use the Inn at the end of the Road as transport and get quests from Sue to be able to stay there and cross the borders of the other parts, while they plan to kill all the hags and then free Tasha (they have a lot of info already handed to them). Since it is a crossover with Rage against demons Prismeer is tainted with Zuggthmoys curses and the party faces some extra enemies (but still the rules of Prismeer apply so killing everything will make it much more difficult). The other group runs the module and wants to see every detail and do everything. For travel in both groups emotion is key. So no north and south, just strong emotions to get somewhere, in line of the feel that the location has. Time is also relative. One of the groups even managed to travel back in time, which was insanely hard DM-ing but so much fun. I love this module and your video's made it so much easier that I can add these extra's. Thank you!

This is an amazing overview! I was a little intimidated by all the fey creatures and events going on, but this video really boils it down and highlights the important bits. Thank you for the tips about encounters that can be improved, like the mud mephits and the suits of armor!

Our next game brings them to Talavar with Jingle Jangle. I’m hoping to turn her mountain into a fun trapfest. But these will be no-harm traps. Things like pits full of toadstools to cushion the fall, a literal “mud slide” that forces players back to the foot of the mountain, spring traps that trigger hallucinogenics onto players. All things to essentially say “go away” but are harmless after she had been assaulted by the Harengons. I’d assume she wouldn’t want to be robbed by them again. But still wouldn’t want to hurt anyone

I need a good reason why and when the goblin with all the keys obtained the magic cage’s key! How did he get it? I don’t think the book says.

We finished the carnival last session, and my players were SO excited to see the other side of the map. I guess I missed the one sentence in the intro saying to only show that side at the end, because I flipped it for them. They got a good look, and I think I'm going to just play it with the map. My players are the type to go to every location anyway, but it does take some of the mystery out of it.
