Lmao, Mr Birmingham! 🤣 Birmingham UK was my home. I can understand why Mike may have been depressed after gigging there. Although I saw the Interrupters in Jan 2020 (pre-lockdown) in Birmingham and the performance and atmosphere at that gig was electric.

If anything I would imagine it was their show in June 2018 at the Institute. Surprised he wrote a song about how depressed he was that night as they were absolutely phenomenal! Fat Mike clearly has a great poker face coming from someone who suffers from depression myself.

@@josheaves6887 In 2018 NOFX played London the day after their Birmingham gig. In 2015 however, they played in Birmingham on June 27th and 28th, and then Nottingham on the 29th. But who really knows, perhaps "Nottingham" sounded better for the lyrics. In any case, I really love this album.

I can't help but wonder if the "dungeon floor" is that place near the Blues ground. The band i was in at the time (The Nerks) played a BDSM event in there once and it had a variety of kinky/fucked up rooms but there was a dungeon 2 floors beneath ground level and it was scary as hell. It was a small cave-like room carved out, with nothing but a metal table/bed with medieval cuffs and an iron fire grate with some ashes in. It looked like a room you'd see in a horror movie. Creepy as shit.

What rubbish, not sure how long U left Birmingham but it’s a wonderful city full of great interesting people, green spaces/parks, lots to do, full of independent businesses etc... if it’s mostly a “shithole” why is it year on year voted the coolest or best place to live in the UK?
