Betty boards are the complete best, we love and thank all the legions of tapers but come now and let us reason together ❤ . Lastly I never cease to feel like I am there, sometimes I even dance 💃. Thank you so much for your continuous love and kindness. In uploading these shows for Deadhead's of all eras and locations to join in joy of this band that has BLESSED our souls.

I love the '73 stuff. Heck in a big way it was how I was introduce to the dead back in those days anyway. But get this, In the mid nineties up here in Mpls MN there was a dead cover that went by the name of the Space Heaters(kind of like the Radiators right) and I swear they really had just whole bun h of these '73 kind of licks for their feedbag. In fact it was kind of one of the realizations that lot of us heads came to about this band and that kind of wine and the reason we were all there pretty much of the same mind and really out there digging it so much. I mean it is just good stuff to go by and with such an expansive band as the dead eventually turned out to be a head usually finds that you know all the wide arks such audiophiles as these were all trying to pull in those days. Like be too stubborn to only listen to this or that song just 2 or 3 times in a whole year or it just wasn't proper to ever really just beat on it for the love of money or In song know maybe just to have something like one of them old pop songs to beat on. Whatever? But what I found and I think this old bunch of fans that spent every Tuesday night in a high roofed little old bar for about 2 years or more was that yea people actually do find they have an honest need for some of the pop song side of the whole audiophile asthethetics banter and cant and crawling creeper kind of way the pride would come out and do the pop song kind of time me and these heads were doing following around this little dead cover band around like daily communicants of the old church I tell you. Ha Ha and lol I love you but that's just all right

@@johnkeransiii1253 I'm in MN too. Was living Uptown Mpls during the Space Heater's tenure in local dives. Makes sense that a cover band would select the peak of the wall of sound era as their template.

Agree. Love the set lists and the jazzy sound they made. Keith was good.

Holy crap that was a great Bertha opener. Jerry ended it like "What's next?"

They really had something with HCS. This one the final crescendo is mostly just crunching that chord and it sounds amazing

It's interesting to hear their progression on Stella Blue that would eventually hit a staggering high on their stunning 10/19/73 version later that year in Oklahoma City. It's almost there in this version, but not quite.

I believe Wolfman Jack introduced the band at this amazing run.
