Noha means lamentation, and it's a sad poetry for sufferings and sorrows of family of prophet Muhammad peace be upon only. No other poetry could be called noha in broader sense and here Akbar doesn't mean King Akbar of India at all rather, Ali Akbar aleh Salam was elder son of Imam Hussain as he was 18 year old and his chest was pierced by a spear during battle of Karbala and Imam Hussain, Ali Akbar's father had to take out that spear of his chest all by himself and alone and later on father carried his young son's dead body to his camp. likewise Imam Hussain had another younger son Ali Asghar aleh Salam he was just six months old and he was thirsty as opponents of Imam Hussain forbid his army from fetching drinking water from river near by so whole army comprising of 72 people were thirsty along with his baby Ali Asghar so Hussain ibn e Ali as asked opponents to give few drops of water for his baby and instead enemies hit his son with an arrow in the neck and Ali Asghar died at the spot so Imam Couldn't take his younger son's dead body to his camp where Ali Asghar's mother was waiting for his son return, instead Imam dug a shallow grave with his sword nearby and buried him later on that grave was dug again by yazid's army and body of baby was taken out decapitated and his head was put on a spear with rest of Imam Hussain army and captured females of prophet family were marched to Damascus ruling capital at that time. so Noha is story of karbala and rememberence of Imam Hussain' sufferings and plight.
