People expected Ridley and people knew it was going to be Ridley from the first frame of the trailer. The belmonts were leaked. People predicted K Rool and they were hyped but the reaction was toned down. And Isabelle and Piranha plant were mixed.

@@akumakirinrin I think you can Persona 1 and 2 are on the PS1 and PSP but I suggest playing the PSP version for both games, although Persona 2 has 2 games, one game is on the PSP, in English, while the other one is on the PSP but not in English, so you're gonna play on the PS1 and the PSP (easily emulated) Persona 3 is on the PS2/PS3/PSP I personally prefer the PS2/PS3 version, but they don't have a lot of the stuff that's on the PSP and you can't control your party members, if you're gonna play the PS2 version then play Persona 3 FES not the one called Persona 3 only. Same for PS3. Persona 4 is on the PS2/PS3/PSV, the PS2/PS3 have the vanilla version, but the PSV has the remake, Persona 4 Golden, I suggest playing Golden but if you can't get a vita then you can play the vanilla, still the same great experience, actually some people prefer the vanilla over the remake. Persona 5 is on the PS3/PS4, they're both the same version, but there is a remake coming in 2020 called Persona 5 Royal, its coming out for the PS4 only.

As the Game Awards were running it was 1am-3am in the UK; so I wasn't able to watch for the reveal. But when I woke up I grabbed my phone straight away and closed my eyes as I tried to find the reveal trailer. I was super excited, even though I've never played Persona before, Joker is such a cool character and seeing how they will incorporate him into Smash will be awesome. Speaking of Persona, I actually own Persona 5; and once I get a capture card I will probably start streaming that if anyone is interested.

This reveal was a masterpiece. It came without warning, breaking the 4th wall in a fun in character way, with a character that nobody expected, and had huge plausible deniability since almost everyone thought of "P5 on Switch" right away instead. My ONLY problem with it is because of it, literally EVERY stream/direct/event Nintendo could even BE in ended up being a breeding ground for "Is X in Smash!?" comments and discussions. It was a long 2 years.
