I saw some reviews that were four years old and 3 people said that you can't gig with it unless you have a preamp because it was very weak. I never heard you mention that. Has that issue been fixed or do you still need to use a preamp to get any volume with it? Thanks.

I gig the Eon One compact since several years, no issue in that direction. Totally depends what you hook on it though (Mic / Synth / Guitar). But plenty of inputs are available so no issue.

I want to use for playing outdoors but still being able to feel the bass! I want to make dj mixes in remote locations but dont want to compromise the low end. Would the Eon one be the one?

I own two eon one compacts. Still planning to get the everse 12 at some stage. The bass of the eon is really great. However in most cases I eq some of the midrange and extended highs to be a bit more defined.

For DJ you need more power, evaluate to use a portable Power Supply like the Solar Generators Bluetti, and add proper subwoofers.

@@antoniovasquez497 Please note that the JBL Eon One Compact has only an 8" woofer. You would need something 12" or 15" at least for decent DJ bass. But the good news is that you can use the Eon One Compact as a "satellite" speaker, and connect it to a subwoofer. This can be done from the JBL Pro App.

Hey. Thanks. Great video. Very tempted to go for the JBL for all the reasons you mentioned, however, then I learnt about the Bose optional transmitters and insert mode. That's pretty appealing, so now conflicted! I have transmitter/receiver fro my mic, but the insert mode for my guitarist seems like a great move to allow him to be completely wireless and still use peddles and amp modeling. Mayby there are ways to do that on the JBLs. Any suggestions on that front?
