your best bet is to look up Akuna musiik on KZbin there are so many playlists she makes or jrock , other genres etc and she makes tons in one video so you can listen to lots of similar or new stuff in all of that persons videos also look up post hardcore rock bands or jrock to be honest since american rock is a little different at times but i know tons of all rock genres so i can give plenty recommendations ^^ one OK rock is really good look them up for sure my first story are amazing too and there's tons more :)

alexandra fragoso wow thanks a lot alex :) One OK Rock and My First Story were the the first bands I listened to when I started my Japanese discovery a few years ago. they're indeed awesome, but there are definitely more hidden gems in the indie scene there, past the american rock influence band. Have you check Taro&Jiro? They're an acoustic rock duo, their album Piranha is a blast.

haha sure thing and sorry I meant akuma musiik* and no but I will check them out :D and haha nice yeah they are amazing there are some really cool ones like the oral cigarettes, spyair, unison square garden, radwimps, the sleepwalkers, l'arc en ciel, x Japan, sid, fear and loathing in las Vegas is super unique and there are lots more just varies on what stuff you like :) also if you like anime or give it a try you can find tons of good openings and songs in them

ならよは 俺は別ジャンル聞いてて他の音楽はシャットダウンしてるから余計にかっこよく聞こえる レベル高すぎて売れないのかもしんないし 英語は聞き取れるレベルにうまいけど、結局何歌ってるかあんまりよくかわらんからどっかで歌詞出してみたら少しは興味出る人も増えるんじゃないかな 売れてるバンドはたいていクソださいからな。これだけできるなら外国行ってなんかして逆輸入したら バカなミーハーがめちゃくちゃ増えると思うけどね イケてる人たちはセールスの事より好きにやってほしいと思う。
