@@AndiGraz No man. Every genre has it's golden years. For Jazz, it's 60's. For metal it's 80's. For D&B it's early 00's. For dubstep it's early 10's. Those are facts...

@@1MantisPhoenix ruining your ears?! whooooo... so you did go to raves back in the day? i think i may have lost a little bit of some particular frequencies of sound but they are generally the ones i dont care for. hehe. go ahead prophet MantisPhoenix? you saying drum and bass will make you go deaf?

earlier this year i decided to finally find some of these old dnb tracks on vinyl. i started on mp3 and traktor on release 1.0 so i never did it way back in the day. when i hit about 150 records i realized i was at the $3k mark. told my self i was not allowed to buy any more records for the year. hehehe. the noisia block control album cost me $75. my favorite dnb roller of all time was block control so i finally felt complete. broke as shit but happy to have a small collection of old tech dnb.

Honestly I only got into drum and bass when I was 15 years old because Noisia is my 1st favourite EDM team, in this episode these old drumandbass songs are like new songs to me, because I don't have the chance to listen to them before

I dont why I cant listen to new shit.. the struggle to find this music back in the day especially coming from RSA, patiently waiting for your favorite DJ to post a mix with a list so you can read what he is playing then hunting that track down whether it is on vinyl, cd then making sure you one of the first to get it. That vibe was the true underground.... sigh I miss that.

RenHard, V, Ram, BBScience, and J.Sky to name a few, but there were bunches of good labels back then abroad of course, but stateside as well had LOTS of amazing Jungle/DnB being put out that was the cutting edge of sound progression within the genre.
