Noisia are never back away from innovation. Each time they throw down a new release it has me pondering how the fuck they managed to push the boundary and create new sounds within a genre which is seemingly limited in its structure and sound design. Even small changes in production have massive effects on listening impact. At 1:33 before it rolls into a new bar, there's a snare roll, similar to something you'd hear the old wartime soldiers play. Honestly, It's only a split second long, but it's so fucking sick and original. The frequency of that kick drum is straight from the pits of hell, and the synths used after the drop sound like transformer raptors having a battle. Another face-slapping chapter in the New Testament of Vision Recordings. Gods!

bit late but yes, I occasionally mess around in a DAW and tried to use slight distortion and reverb on a kickdrum. combined with upping the frequency of the bass slightly for it really gives a lot of room for deep basses without the need to overly sidechain stuff.
