Hi Mark, where’s the link for this filter design you mention at the end of your video ?

For a monoband dipole why not cut your 450 or 600 feeder to an electrical half wave long and common mode choke it to hell in the shack? I do something fairly similar, a ZS6BKW and a massive common mode choke effort in the shack. I have no mains filters yet but my noise levels are way down on what they were, On a lighter note a while back noise levels were driving me mad, I have a microprocessor driven rf power meter but the CPU "sleeps" with no signal... a shame I was running it from a switchmode wall wart!

You need to try a balanced antenna.

What can be done about noise on the high bands? 20-6m?

Does anyone make and sell those mains filters Mark?

The bits came from Farnell.

@@MarkG0MGX Thanks Mark, I think that there would be a good market for pre-constructed boxes.

@@stirlingpark6145 Maybe - they would be quite expensive I think. I'll see how much the parts are and if there is any interest.

@@MarkG0MGX Hi Mark Did you pursue the possibility of making these for sale? I would certainly be interested. Noel.

@@noelwaddoup2528 I did and I couldn't find a good quality filter from any of the far east sites. I would be ahppy to make one for you if you need one doing.
