Hey Dunk/Community! Here's the seed to my first and only great treasure chest I've come across, 1947508053. This was in Snowy Depths, just left and a bit down of the exit from the second holy mountain. There were a ton of levitatium flasks and glowing fungal spore flasks, the latter which I've never encountered before, and atleast two water stones and a ton of extra max HPs! I made a reddit post about it a while back with some clips but I can't link anything in the comments since it just gets auto deleted! Much love!

I found a pretty cool seed, 1564142, as well as generally being a pretty nice seed, on the first holy mountain for 130 gold you can get a wand with alright stats (no shuffle, 2 spells, 180 max mana 80 mana regen), 5 chainsaws, and most importantly always cast circle of vigour

This explains a whole lot!!! I've been doing a whole lot of work involving GTCs in the endgame the last few months, and right around XMAS quite suddenly I started getting tier 10 wands fairly regularly. The drop rate seems to be maybe something in the neighborhood of 1%, or 1 in 100 GTCs containing a tier 10 stick. I think it's a great idea as there really should be at least a small chance to get those somewhere outside of the one-and-done miniboss. I'm big into working on the cauldron/eyes/other associated ambiguous Noita content in the endgame , and as part of that I've had to recently spend quite a lot of time hammering out a way to farm GTC quickly and at scale without losing most of the contents to the whole kaboom thing... Is there anyone else who would benefit from knowing how to crank these boxes out? If there's enough interest I can make a new page on the wiki that breaks down what I think is probably pretty close to an optimal technique for acquiring GTCs with sensitive contents like flasks intact, without using any cheats or mods. It's slightly different between beta and release branches, but equally possible on both. It takes some doing to get it set up, but once you're rollin' you can output about 4 chests per minute while hardly paying attention and with functionally no risk to Noita's life and limb or the chests themselves. Over 700 hours and I've never found a fancy greater chest, best I've found was one with 2 extra hp drops and two wands. The only seeds I've saved are seeds that have a path open to the right side of the mountain on the surface without any form of digging.

I only recently realized how good pacifist chests can be. I just got fucked in the mines and went ahead, no kills, then the pacifist chest gave me Alpha, Touch of gold, and ping pong path... Also found that you can relatively easily kill the alchemist with just personal plasma beam and never skip legday. I had no idea personal plasma beam could stack either!!? I have almost 600 hours in the game yet im learning shit every other run.

If i was to guess, despite the generation updates and them applying to older seeds that item placements generally remain the same but any terrain placement could end up burying them instead (In the case of them disappearing) and any terrain that nudges its location could also mess with what kind of chest it could be (In the case of Fury's chest being different).

Sadly moving the chest wouldn't change the drops. It's about the x and y coordinates that the chest spawns in on that decides what loot it drops. That's why set seeds on the same patch have the same loot because the chests spawn pixel perfect the same.

I usually just take a screenshot of whats crazy during my current run and right after that I pause and screenshot again, that way I can see the exact version aswell as the seed. Steam also tells when the screenshots were taken so its easy to not mix them up.

My two craziest Noita runs so far were one where the alchemic precurors was snow/cold water/water with insane perk and wand luck (two add manas in coal mines and luminous drills, think there were chainsaws too and the wands in the fungal caverns were also really good) along with an excellent third pacifist chest. My second crazy run, a bit more recent this one, didn't have anything outside the ordinary really... Except it had explosion immunity as the first perk, vampirisme in the second mountain, and fire immunity in the third after a few rerolls. I was able to stay in an area for as long as I wanted pretty much, and I fully explored Hisi base. Don't have the seed for that one, though. I'm not at my computer so I can't give the seed for the first one, reply to this comment if you want it. Edit : Seed for the first one is 286747799

I never wrote down any of my seeds but I did have a game once where there was a greater chest just chilling in the mine enterance. I read this is possible if they spawn somewhere underground but can't be placed due to terrain, was a nice surprise (contents were a bit lame tho)

They should tweak it so each successive wand in a chest offsets its generation coordinates by 1 pixel. That way you would get a variety of wands, but still the same set of wands each time the seed was played.

The changes the devs are making don't _typically_ change the biome structures. If a biome tile has a wand, it should still have a wand. Same with hearts and chests. But the contents can vary wildly.

Hey Dunk, i recently discovered Noita and your content and i love both :D However i am running into serious trouble trying to runn the game and im at a loss. Whatever i do i can not runn teh game on full screen. I tried the editing the config file so that the fps isnt higher then my monitor etc bot nothing seems to help.... The only thing that works is doing it windowed and with lower resolution then whatever my monitor is set to. I even went as far as to try and do the absolute lowest resolution setting but even then the game goes about 5 times slower then ity should. and thats even just at the entrance of the cave.... PLease help
