One super useful little tip that I think you didn't mention (although it appeared in the video behind you!) is that you can dilute pools of toxic sludge by pouring water into them, turning the entirety of it into water. Great way of making a pool safe to explore, or even getting more water to refill your flask with.

A tip that I would always give others: Know what spells can hurt you if they come back at you. Spells like Magic Arrow and Glowing Lance look like they are in the same category but if a glowing lance bounces off a shield and comes back at you. You got problems son. I think the list of non obvious ones is pretty small but there aren't really any hard rules. Most spells with an explosion will hurt you if you're caught in it but Energy Orb doesn't. Some spells won't damage you directly but if you fire Concentrated Light at your feet, you're liable to get burned. Sure you could throw Disc Projectile on a trigger bolt but you better be sure you know where that thing is going when it pops out. I really liked the tip about the visual inspection. The only one I've really noticed is the number of tips on a wand. The other stuff is really cool to know.

After doing so you can often kick it further down the tunnel which can still trick kill enemies at point blank range. You can even use it as a shield in open areas! Since I've played countless hours of FPS with jump bound to the thumb button on the mouse, it was really natural to bind fly to that button instead. Kick, for me, is bound to the space bar so exactly the opposite to your configuration. What took me a while to figure out (I'm only some 26 hours of play time in now!) is that kicking is directional. Quite obvious if you think about it perhaps, but at first I assumed that kick was simply horizonally forward. And now I've learned that it's not just directional, it's also metered. Thank you!

Yeah this game is ridiculously hard and sometimes can feel unfair, I think that pushes a lot of people away after a while. I got my first win after about a hundred runs mostly due to a lucky op wand, and my second win (this time without RNG wand) didn't come until just yesterday with 145 deaths on record. I think the trick to perseverance is learning to laugh at your ridiculous unexpected deaths, because if you don't then you're definitely gonna cry lmao. Also a thing you didn't mention on the second point, is that exploring areas can help you find more max health pickups, which come in really handy especially when you get to hiisi base when the enemies start hitting like trucks. Looking forward to the wand building guide!

If you turn into a sheep, wait for a while (it requires knowledge of about how long the potion works) fly up until you start falling down, then automatically transform back to normal form, and use flying to get higher.) Like, how do I explain. While you are a sheep, you don't use the normal flying bar. Being a sheep has it's own flying bar. So if you use that one first, transform mid air, you are already high in the air with a full flying bar. Not that useful in caves, but definitely amazing if you need to get up to somewhere high at early game or even late game

Just got into this game and it's really fun and I'm glad I decided to get it. Also thanks for these tips, there's barely any useful gameplay instructions in the game.

I don't even know how to get past the 1st level most of the time, I have about 30 hours though, the farthest I've gotten is about the third level and I've been to the fungal caverns probably 3 or 4 times. Idk how to progress besides keep playing but I also don't want to get burnt out because I love this game. This video will definitely help me out a lot!
