by google translate As one Japanese citizen, I talked about history but do not intend to say anything about the relationship between China and Taiwan. I know many Chinese people insist Taiwan is China and many Taiwanese people insist Taiwan is Taiwan. I have friends from China and Taiwan, and I love both of them. As a third party I just only hope you two solve this issue peacefully in the future. That's the reason why I call Taiwan as my 101.5th country. I will be happy if you understand my position who has friends from both sides. I wish Chinese people and Taiwanese people would not aggressively argue or quarrel on this comment board. Please ignore the netizens and do not respond. they always post an idea which is just to push their one sided opinion. Voice on the internet is not on behalf of our countries. Respect each other. One more notice. Recently I see a lot of people post comments in Chinese but please know that I can`t read Chinese. I would be appreciate if you write comment in English or Japanese if you speak either.
I don't like politics, because it is always complicated and subjective. The reason for me to watch this channel is just because the life, culture and the food. Politics is a bad issue and we should ignore them in our daily life.
Most of the older Taiwanese I have met in United States can speak Japanese. They seemed to be very pro-Japan. Not sure what the future holds for Taiwan. But I feel sorry for them, they are in a very precarious situation right now!

They are actually more like Japanese than we are. They said to me that they're Taiwanese now, but they're proud of themselves as Japanese and have a hart of Japanese.

@@kogoro007 Agree. Given the choice, the Taiwanese people probably would choose to be with Japan than with China. After all, Japan is a country of islands like Honshu, Hokkaido, Okinawa, etc. and Taiwan will be a natural extension to the chain of islands. But the Taiwanese will soon face a life or death situation. Surrender or die defending their country. Something no one should have to face.

@@bluestar2253 and they “should” be invaded & colonized to speak Japanese. You “can” extend your chain of islands to Philippine 🇵🇭 or Malaysia 🇲🇾, see what people there would say. Wait a minute, Japan had try it out already?

@@bluestar2253 apparently you don't know why they are pro japan, it's because japan invade China when they won the war in 1895 they took Taiwan away and colonized it for 50 years, learn some history before talk.
