it’s true, i’m a little similar to her, in that my Spanish is very choppy, but damn at least i try. people that make fun of us for not speaking “perfect Spanish” are the ones that make ppl feel discouraged from even practicing.

Like they said in Selena. We’re not Mexican enough for the Mexicans & not American enough for the Americans. It’s hard being multiple generational chicano. People have always looked down on me for not speaking Spanish well but my parents aren’t immigrants. Neither are my grandparents I’m like 4th generation chicano

@@aureliocasillas7363 I’d recognize that if I didn’t have relatives & connections to Mexico BUT my Grandparents on my fathers side are from Mexico & have been for generations & my paternal grandfather is still in Mexico. I’m multiple generational chicano on my moms side but my great great grandparents where from Michoacán & dads side is from Colima Mexico

Spanish isn’t that hard to learn. I’m European and most kids here speak a second language by 15 years of age. Languages that are harder to learn like English, German, Russian, Chinese… obviously they have a better structure for it but learning Spanish is definitely possible.

Taking chicano studies in college my professor said usually immigrants lose their native language after the third generation in the U.S….which I’ve kind of seen to be true. If your parents are immigrants usually you’ll be bilingual but your children won’t me. & even if they are chances are their children definitely won’t be

@@siqboi2275 nah y’all just don’t care to be in touch w ur roots it’s hella Native American tribes n we teach our language in school n we even have the choice to learn more after school some ppl literally choose to learn French or Spanish instead of our indigenous language that’s been here for 10,000+ years before English ppl just forget that u can speak any language in America there’s thousands of different languages here in America to learn idk why we feel like we’re forced to speak a language from Europe

@@rudyceron3420 sadly a lot of schools don’t have Spanish classes and if they do they don’t teach Mexican Spanish they teach Spain Spanish I know that sounds stupid how I’m wording it but it’s true they teach vos and Vosotros and we don’t use that in Mex.

He’s asking how she feels about no sabo guys & if they’re shameful, and I don’t think he realizes she is a no sabo baby herself 🙃😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean it’s the truth. Her Spanish is BAD. She is NOT fluent in Spanish, but like she said. The no sabo babies try. Not their best, but they try the bare minimum.

Lmfao you can learn English soon as you go to school I was raised speaking Spanish and learned English from being around my cousins as a kid and we would speak English to each other but our parents didn’t know a lick of Spanish so we spoke Spanish at home it’s really not hard just the way your raised I guess

It be the same no sabo kids shaming immigrants for not being able to speak English correctly I was born and raised in Mexico city and I been through that but its funny cause I have black and white friends and they can understand everything I say but the moment I start having a conversation with a no sabo they act like they don't understand. And in Mexico I didn't grow up with my parents talking to me in English but no sabo kids be over 20 years old and still cant speak Spanish even though most no sabo kids grow up with their parents talking to them Spanish only they're whole fucking life. So think about it.
