Had the pleasure of attending 2 seminars with this man, several years apart. He only gets better and doesn't miss a beat! A great and professional warrior!

It would be interesting to see him and someone both with equipment on and go almost full blast or even 50% i wonder how well these moves would work against an resisting attacker I've tried some of these moves and or similar against an attacker with a rubber knive they failed miserably

My respect for Master Crosson, real good master, great skills.

I hope people realize that this stuff is for demonstration only. Try it on a resisting opponent and see what happens! Street survival is a whole different thing!

Marty S. On a resisting opponent, most if not All of those arm and wrist locks and throws would definitely break bone and/or tear tendons. If they tried to practice any of this stuff too fast or aggressively, someone could get seriously if not fatally injured. This stuff is for real!

Renegade 848, For your sake, I hope you're joking!
@ST-ck1hp7 жыл бұрын
Marty S. Nah for YOUR sake I hope you're just talking for KZbin and don't REALLY think someone trained as Master Crosson would not be able to severely harm you just because you're "resisting." The sound of your arm or wrist breaking or the pain of your ligaments being torn will rudely awaken you. In the streets, there would be no mercy or CONTROL as shown in this video. There will be no hesitation to drop you to the concrete head-first or gouge your eye out. Hopefully you don't believe what you're falsely insinuating.

Renegade 848 That's just big talk and wishful thinking on your part. Whatever... you'll find out the hard way some day. I tried to warn you.

Lots of solid old school Ju-Jitsu here but also a fair few silly and ineffective ancillary strikes (a backfist to the ribs for instance) but as a core to build upon, the stuff coming down from Moses Powell's students is sound.

None of this shit should be taken seriously unless he can prove it in competition, sparring, or live rolls. Try this shit with a BJJ purple belt, let's see who taps first.

Many of these techniques will not work against a resisting opponent, furthermore it’s rare for someone to throw one punch that way. That said, there are many techniques that will definitely work especially in stand off situations and sucker punching attacker. Much more applicable than aikido. These moves are for demonstration purposes, a true resisting attacker would look more like judo. What ironic is, is judo is supposed to be merely a sport.

I like watching videos of GM Robert Crossin, but come on, the ground fighting technique that he is showing on this video, ie escaping the mount, is absolute garbage, I mean you can't be serious about that.
