I don't care if th Nokia 5.3 is abit slow to start up. I bought it precisely because it isn't a Chinese manufacturer. Nokia are a brand I trust. Xaomi don't have the history in Europe (and the UK) that Nokia do, and have only been in the UK for about five years. For me, it's Nokia all the way. Yea, yea ok many will say ''....but the Redmi is a better phone'. Just read my comment again.

Difference between fhd and Hd screen on a mobile is negligible Compared my redmi note 7 pro 6.3 fhd with realme narzo 20a which has 6.5 hd display I didn't see any difference unless I saw it keenly and closely Every Hd screen is not same Nokia screen quality is very good Also hd means battery will drain slowly and better in gaming

I think Nokia 5.3 apps is not optimized. I use Nokia 6.1 plus 4g ram and a lower processor SD 636 but the apps don't reload from the background

This phone has 3 variant 3gb,4gb and 6gb. I think it varies based on the region. For example all Nokia phones in india is a 4gb variant.

Good video. But the Redmi Note 8 was release in 2019 and probably the apps had some information in the cache memory, so closing the app doesn't mean the cache was cleared. That with the advantage of 4 gb of ram, give an edge to the Xiaomi phone.

In my opinion, the Redmi Note 8 wins. Nokia 5.3 arguably takes better looking pictures and videos. Redmi Note 8 is much cheaper, has 1 GB more of RAM, FHD+ display, more Mpx cameras and user experience seems faster. A better comparison would be Redmi Note 8 Pro vs Nokia 5.3. Nokia phones aren't bad but their price is always more expensive than their direct competition.

Increasing the megapixeles isn't the best solution in photography,software can do a better job in developing the experience, Just forget about MP vs pic quality ,more the value of MP more space it requires to capture a photo,so 13mp is more than enough.
