Next to the 8110, my favorite Nokia back then, slicker than the 6110. I used a few of the 6210's over time available in silver, black and red i believe. It was however a matter of luck to obtain a model free of software bugs. The silver plate at the bottom was not only used for Telecom-branding but Nokia would offer Customers to order a customized Name plate for free.

Hey Mike, thanks for the review. Just to point out, this is a replica 6210 and not the original. Replicas state made by Nokia, which makes no sense grammatically or from a trading/customs perspective. Original 6210s were made in Germany. Similarly 8850s that state made by Nokia or made in Finland can be found on eBay/Aliexpress when in fact the original 8850s were made in Korea. Most people who review old Nokia phones seem to be unaware of this detail in discerning a replica from an original. Thought this might be useful for people who might want to buy old Nokias.

As much as I appreciate your concern, the Made by Nokia sticker is original and legit. I myself owned a Nokia phone with the “made by Nokia” label back in the early 2000s, bought at the official shop and even registered at Club Nokia. Up until 2001 this labelling was commonplace and all older models had had it; only then Nokia started to put the names of the actual countries of origin instead.

I don't thing that's true because most of Nokia phones at the time had that lebel which said made by Nokia

oh hey, nice review, just in time!was looking to purchase this phone for my collection recently =), I just have one question: can Infrared do anything else than play Snake II 2 players mode?
@MikeShowsPhones3 жыл бұрын
The usual way it worked with all Nokias - sharing contacts, calendar events and hooking it to the computer via PC Suite.
@AcikaGamerSRB3 жыл бұрын
didn't know these monochrome Nokia models supported PC Suite, wow
@MikeShowsPhones3 жыл бұрын
Indeed. Most of the software basis of this model was later shared with the follow-up Series 40 platform. Also, the PC Suite was the default way of syncing your calendar and contacts with Outlook. Wouldn’t wanna do it all manually… 🙂

@@MikeShowsPhones oh that's interesting, I think S40 became out of s30.In Nokia 3410 and 3510(and 3510i) I think it isn't even clear what they're running.Is it S30, is it S40?Something in the middle?Funnily enough, Nokia never called the OS s30 nor s40.I think you mentioned that in some of your videos, not sure.
