The performance seems good enough although i'd still think zenfone 5z and pocco still carries the edge in the bang for the buck department.

@@rohtak2749 all-rounder means nothing. Are you saying it's evenly excellent or good or mediocre for the price? Also remember Zenfone 5z was available for less than 25k , which i think is overall a better device. I think Nokia should have priced it within the 22-23 bracket. Now along the past few years i have brought a couple of nokia devices, most recently 6.1 plus and 7 plus. I still use the latter and love it, though i think it didn't gained the sales momentum of the former strictly due to it's pricing. And with 8.1 nokia not only repeated but also made it far severe of a blunder.

@@rohtak2749 Also i think 7.1 was a rather pointless device(much like nokia 3.1 plus). And i'm fairly certain it;s release played a crucial factor in messing up the pricing for 8.1.

No, it handles it very well. However opening the camera tends to be heating it up, a problem that was present in the 6.1 plus too. Though it's not a deal break.

That's a bad approach to test the performance, not a single benchmark/FPS counter ? Also opening lots of apps in the background is silly, this is not a PC. The phone will dumb any app that has excessive RAM usage, that's why the games restarted, and why did you close GTA when you opened Pubg? Interesting...

Benchmarks are the most useless measure of real-life performance. OS must have capability to freeze games in the background and keep RAM use to minimum. On Oreo we have seen much better RAM management than Pie and Pie still needs more tuning.

In my humble opinion the phone is pretty balanced and a worthy successor of 7 plus. It exceeds upon it's predecessors strong points, sadly it also exceeds upon it's greatest weakness as well (i.e pricing).

You are right, the ram management on each and every nokia phone is really bad. Have seen other model which are having the same problem as it has. I think it is kind of software optimization problem or maybe they've internationally given it for power saving.
