I believe Legend is a great value in the SMF machines. Very capable all -around machine. I don't think most people would rate it above the Xp or Manticore, but they also cost 3-4 TIMES MORE THAN a Legend! I expect it should wow me more for that much money! Basic premise: If you have a detector that is working well for you now, just go hunt. I don't see anyone pulling up things with their "Y" brand detector that another guy with his "Z" brand detector can't find also. Just a matter of finding what works best for you.

I totally agree with you. I think for the money the Simplex is probably still the best out there. And as a multi frequency machine I think for the money probably the Legend is leading the field. Any detector will find things. I think the permission you have is more important than the machine. If its not in the ground no matter how good the machine is you will not find it

Hi Nath mate, A good comparison between 2 machines, but as we have said before, it all comes down to price, probably my favourite machine that I have used is the Ace 400, found must of my best finds with it.. so I might do a 10 hole dig between the Leg End and the ace 400, I know a lot of people dont like the sound of the 400, but as far as I am concerned it can whistle bloody Dixie as long as it finds stuff..🤣 TCM Tom

Yes it is a good machine when you learn the tones
