I love the way kids swing a detector lol. I'm always trying to get my lad to keep the coil level with the ground. I bet the new coil will be great in stubble fields.

my lads 6, near 7.. do you think this would be good for him, at what age would the midi be better. How important are the pointers.. we dont do any detecting but hes randomly asked for one for Christmas!

I would say midi hoard would be better for nearly 7 year old as it’s bigger:) and you don’t need a pin pointer if you are starting out they just help a little finding small stuff :)
