I use a simplex lite. That’s actually the reason I found your channel, I just searched simplex lite and one of your videos came up. Now you’re the only detectorist I watch (I’m dumb but it feels like cheating watching someone else). My three year old daughter loves “watching that metal detector guy” with me. Thanks for making such positive, wholesome, relaxing content.

Austin, I still have my original Nokta Makro Simplex! I like it so much, I bought a second one. BUT, I am kinda looking at the Double Score, it's supposed to be real good for the Beach. Yea, I hear ya about talking to the camera at the park.

I use to Metal Hunt often years ago with a Whites Detector from the 70's, still worked to this day until I think a Ghost took it, its nowhere to be found -- I watch just one of your Vids on the Simplex Lite -- and on Impulse, got online and ordered me-self one. :) Enjoying your Vids and learning about it before it arrives. :) I never did see if the screen was Back-Lit for night time use.

Yep it does have a backlight. Hey it's a great hobby.. why not give it a shot again. 👍👍 Just be prepared to find a lot of JUNK... good stuff is out there too!

The rare penny can happen, I saw a guy on reddit find a canadian 1969 large date dime while coin roll hunting, its like a $15,000 dime, he sent it off to an auction house, the auction house got it graded and sold for him I have coins worth more than face value, but if I had a 15k dime I think I would auctioned it off too, imagine losing it or even scratching it or something, some how ruin it by accident, better to sell it and take the money while you can, put the cash into a etf or something

It's on the Discontinued Detector List as of 2021 and I have Gotten Rid of my Simplex and I have the X-Terra Pro Now and I Can Really Coin Shoot with it, compared to the Simplex 3 Tone Relic Hunt Setup and the I have to dig up everything that sounds off and then I had to add more Junk Target's Bags to My belt but now that I have the X-Terra Pro it's a Game Changer Detector.... And I have Eliminated 2 bags from my Belt and the Coins to Junk Target Ratio is favoring the Coins now, using the X-Terra Pro.❤.
