A well written/directed horror film DOESN'T need any jump scares. It's a cheap trick by untalented people. They can't create tension & keep it or slowly increase REAL fear so they rely on jump scares to get a response from the bored audience.

damn south east asian movies are on fire.... indonesian and phillipines movies are the new horror , so great to be a fan of the movies from indonesia and phillipines........ keep up the good work , btw in what language they are speaking.. it is very similar to javanese though

Ang dilim ng video simula umpisa hanggang dulo tapos walang context kung bakit may sumpa or saan nanggaling yun. Wala rin explanation bakit parang gigil na gigil yung mangunguha ng buhay kay nadine or sa family nila. Sa mahigit isa’t kalahating oras na yun walang back story. Okay yung effects, edit ng vids and yung CGI makeup pero kulang kulang yung kwento at yung video super dilim. Needs a lot of improvement pa when it comes to the flow of the story talaga. In short ang dilim ng vid and ang vague ng kwento.

Jusko may kakilala na naman si Nadine Lustre na nagpakamatay. Nahiya pa ang casting director, sana si Louise Delos Reyes na lang din ulit yung gumanap na Joana? At this point, ghosts in a Filipino horror movie is ironically such an overused device. GIVE US SOMETHING NEW. It's the 21st century, wala na sa gulatan o patayan o multuhan ang horror!

Can someone please answer me this ... why is she in her own home, staring at her mirror, with all her lights off? This seems to be an occurring theme in horror films.

There are lights off the majority of the movie. The scenes of good lighting happen outside and on unrainy/uncloudy days (infrequent). When it is daytime, inside homes are gloomy and with veiled windows that leak the faintest of light (or none so that it appears nighttime during the day when inside). I appreciated the vision and direction and acting as well as the setting. It is rare for movies now to tell the vibe with the art pieces, here each set piece delivered more ambiance than if they had been filled with regular lighting. My only recommendation is to turn your brightness settings up. Not enough to ruin the vision, but enough so that when the actors look frightened you can see what they are reacting to (should your TV be having issues, if not there is no need). I thought this was a vampire movie. It's not. I enjoyed it!

Sobrang dilim. May ibang horror movies na hindi ganyan kadilim but the shows were fine. The flow of the movie was a bit vague and it didn’t mention why it all started and who was the source of the curse. But please next time wag masyadong madilim. Thank you!
