As a former safety, it’s worth mentioning this: When the front 7 is as bad as it was, it makes playing safety horrible. That could have been a major reason for Brown & company having a consistently bad season. I’m not excusing the lack of effort, but it’s a hard job when you don’t have even a decent 1st 2 levels in front of you.
