I grew up with ACTUAL dirt floors. Friends still have me tell the story of how I got my butt whipped for digging holes in my bed room floor for my 5-6 hot wheel cars. Mom a crack head. Disappeared for weeks. Been raising my little brother since I was 6. He is 2 years younger than me. Standing on a chair at the stove on the phone with my grandma getting talked through how to scramble eggs I stole just so I could feed my brother. I clawed from the trenches. No I have 3 kids a beautiful wife. 150k a year I plan to double next year. Obviously not rich. But my kids are taken care of. And will never have to even consider having to do that. So I agree. Never be ashamed of where you came from. I’m 34 years old. And I work hard because I can’t let my kids go through that. They WONT. Tom hit millions. I feel like I hit millions with what I provide now. Never give up yall. I was 6 and had to grind like an adult or let me and my brother die. Never give up. Never. Defeat is only when you quit.
