It’s not because he lost his passion. I believe Em was saying that since there is no more drama happening in his life, hence “no more emotions for me to pull from” and he basically told everybody all the pain he went through, he feels like he got nothing to rap about anymore at that point in his life. He loves rap so much and that’s the only thing he knows but he felt like he couldn’t create art without the emotions and rage that he had when he first blew up. Em even jokingly said in a interview back in 1999/2000 that he hopes his life don’t get any better ‘cause then he’d have nothing to rap about. Lmao. As an artist, one of Em’s biggest fears is putting down the mic once and for all. Rap is everything to him and it’s what gives him strength as he’s said numerous times.
