The Sidemen beef started when KSI was going on a trip to L.A. and as a joke he said he's also leaving the Sidemen, mostly because of Ethan. As a result Ethan's girlfriend at the time showed him it, and without any questions he made a light-hearted diss track, the video blew up and gained a bunch of views. Harry being very close to Ethan decided to make a diss track, not so light-hearted, and that blew up too. Harry made a second verse, which was even more of a violation, and contained things about KSI not open to the public. The Sidemen then consulted each other and decided they can use this "beef" for views, they all agreed, except JJ was pissed off at Harry for the track. Any beef they have toward each other during this era is real and a lot of the bars are fake as they both wanted to spread as many rumours about each other as possible. Deji, KSI's brother, then released a really bad diss track at all the Sidemen even accidentally insulting his own brother by calling it a "-bitch made group" (any bars at Deji in this era is also real, and true). Simon destroyed Deji in his diss track, which is in my opinion the best track out of the lot, and then Vikk put the last piece of dirt on his grave, with a diss track that was clearly a joke, but because it was Vikk it was 100 times more hurtful. In between that KSI made a not so serious reply to Ethan and a serious one for Harry and they then both responded in the same manner. The Sidemen then regrouped and all was resolved. They actually made a very funny video together on JJ's channel after, where they kill a toy baby.

Basically, KSI went through an era where he was "transforming". An era where he acted depressed, developed mentally and personally from a teenager into an adult, and didn't post any single video for A LONG TIME. I think it was mainly to promote his new EP but also to distance his former self (by the mental and social growth) from past controversy's and to show he's grown. Right before the distracts, he went to LA for an extended period of time where he and Ethan planned to have beef and disstrack each other (One reason he was in LA was to make disstracks with RiceGum cuz he was the Disstrack King back then). However, Harry blindsided JJ and made the beef real and that spiraled into A LOT of different beefs. Below are the Disstracks in order from first to last (btw they all ended up being friends again in the end, it didn't take long for them to make up): 1. Behzinga (Ethan)- Drama (its on KSI) 2. As funny and brutal this disstrack looks, Harry didn't had any beef with JJ. He just made it for the sake of views, he actually admitted it later. also the backstory is that ksi said he was leaving and blamed ethan on it. during that time ethan was beefing with ricegum and ksi so he dropped a disstrack called "drama". so ksi dropped a disstrack "earthquake" which features ricegum against ethan. harry then dropped ksi "sucks", ksi responded with "little boy", so harry countered that one with "ksi exposed" also. also ethans friend callux dropped a disstrack on ricegum called "ricegum disstrack" where he disses ricegum because he was beefing with ethan

The Sidemen beef can best be described by saying that it pretty much was arranged between JJ and Ethan as a method of getting views, however it got very real when this track, and particularly the one after it which was Harry's reply to JJ's 'Little Boy' (and on another classic DMX beat) dropped. At least between JJ and Harry. It then morphed into Deji vs Simon and Vik, and the following year Deji and Randolph got into it which in part led to the beef Deji and JJ had, and a whole lot of other shit happened. They're all cool these days, but to this day the diss tracks are a touchy subject particularly for JJ and Harry. Harry went to one of JJ's shows, and when JJ performed Little Boy he left lol.
