This one of EM’s most criminally underrated compilation albums. (Also the black sheep in sales). I would argue that “this” EM is one that practically no one could have beaten. His schemes / rhymes / setups were absolutely ridiculous. He’s like a hybrid of old EM w/ new EM before he transitioned into what he is today. (Which is still amazing).

Definitely a good era of Em. He is more lyrical nowadays, but in that mmlp2-shady xv era he sounded mad af & had lots of energy like older Em.

I wish more reactors would review his Shady XV material but I also understand why people struggle with this track, Vegas, Detroit vs Everyone etc. His bars are so dense and the setups can be hard to catch.. in this track he has setups that come around 16 bars later so unless you’re familiar with technical rap a lot can get missed. I love his verse in DVE and Vegas simply for the flow / cadence. I love the technicals so I always struggle w/ which version of EM I prefer. Which, quite honestly, says a lot about EM as an artist.

If you want a couple more tracks along this line there is Vegas (Bad Meets Evil). Crazy rhyme schemes but fun in a way. Vegas is a great song for a reaction as there are very few reactions to it. (Same with the track - Raw). A lot of the Bad meets Evil album is glossed over and it’s some of EM’s best work. (And Royce)

I think I might have requested this at some point over the last year. LOL this album has a few hidden gems like this. Check out Vegas. He fires a couple of shots at Iggy azalea. But super lyrical in that song. All I think about is another good one. And the song raw.
