I miss these old birds coming to my region. I became familiar with the 580 back in '86, when American Eagle was flying them from DFW International to my hometown terminal in Tyler, TX - Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. And though there's quite a bit of difference, I would still compare the awesome power of those Allison 501-D13H turboprops to that of the Space Shuttle's main engines.
